'Jaunte et Verte' squash tastes like it's covered in butter! This beautiful French heirloom patty pan is tender when picked young, with thin, delicate skin. Rind varies from light green (verte), to yellow (jaune), to radial green stripes on ivory squash (small fruit may not show streaking). Delicious used fresh all summer, but can be matured to the hard shell stage and used as an ornamental, or cooked like a winter squash. Long harvest period, prolific.
